1. Height Method: The distance from the top of the head to the floor (without shoes). The height measurement usually determines the coat length.

2. Chest Method: Measured with coat off. Place the tape measure around the fullest part of the chest keeping it up under the arms, straight across the back, and around the shoulder blades. Insert a finger, between the tape and body to insure proper fit. This measurement generally determines the coat size.

3. Over the Shoulder Method: Measured with the coat off. Place tape measure around the fullest part of the chess, over the upper arm/shoulder area and straight across the back. This measurement minus six equals the coat size. For example: if the tape measures 46 inches, subtract 6 equals 42 inches, or a coat size 42.

1. Waist: Measured around the body with the coat off. Place the tape measure directly over the shirt, just above the hipbones and over the navel.
Insert a finger between the tape and body to insure a comfortable fit. If you prefer your trousers to fit tight or loose and measure accordingly
2. Outseam: Measured by adjusting the trousers as high as possible on the waist.

Place the tape and measure the outside of the leg from the top of the trousers waistband to the top of the shoe's sole.

Note:
Remember that Tuxedo Trousers are usually worn higher on the waist. To insure proper fit  be sure your trousers are pulled up well on the waist to get the most accurate measurement
